Has anyone here ever tried using an electronic cigarette?

Electronic Cigarette - Q/A 4 Comments »

What is it like? How much does it cost? Where can I buy it> What does it taste like? How big is the throat hit? Does it get you buzzed like a real cigarette does? How much nicotine does it have compared to a real cigarette? How does this compared and how much safer is it?

Answer:

I smoked for 17 years, and have been using an e-cigarette since January. I’ll try to answer each question as best I can:

How much does it cost?
-0 for a starter kit. You will want to buy a few extra atomizers *the part that vaporizers the e-liquid* and some extra e-liquid to try a few different flavours out.

Where can I buy it>
It depends on where you live. The easist way is to purchase online.

What does it taste like?
IT is different from cigarette smoke, but after a few days, you realize it actually tastes pururer and cleaner then cigarettes. You can get over 100 flavours of e-liquid for your electronic cigarette.

How big is the throat hit?
It depends on the e-cigarette and the amount of nicotine in the e-liquid. Most smokers who try my e-cigarette usually cough and can’t handle the throat hit at first.

Does it get you buzzed like a real cigarette does?
The nicotine absorbs slower in the vapor then in the smoke, so it takes a few more seconds to get the nicotine into your body, but you will still feel satisfied like with a cigarette within a few minutes.

How much nicotine does it have compared to a real cigarette?
You can get anywhere from nicotine free (0MG) to extra high nicotine (36MG) strength e-liquid. I use either 16MG or 24MG e-luquid, and I used to smoke medium strength cigarettes.

How does this compared and how much safer is it?
It is comparable to drinking coffee. Nicotine by itself is about as harmful as caffeene. Just be sure to purchase your products from a reputable company. They should provide you with certifications of their products, or have them on their website.

Smoking an electronic cigarette, does it feel the same as smoking a real one?

Electronic Cigarette - Q/A 5 Comments »

I’m not a smoker, but my father is. He has tried to quit it but he cant, so i found out about the e-cigarette when i saw the movie “The Tourist”. Could you tell my in your opinion does it feel the same as smoking a real one, and if not is it close? Also, whats the cost per week compering to the real one?

Answer:

It’s not exactly the same however, if someone is trying to quit smoking, it can be good enough to scratch the itch.

Personally, I enjoyed smoking and young enough to not have cancer etc… but wanted to quit. E-Cigs are a stepping stone for me. I’m still getting the activity I enjoyed but without all the tar and chemicals.

Generally I feel better and cleaner smoking an E-Cig than regular cigs.

Cost for me is less than cigarettes. I was spending around / pack buying 4 packs a week. So / week. With a budget e-cig i get from a local tobacco shop and liquid refill from Johnson Creek Smoke Juice, I’m probably down to about 7 bucks a week.

What is the best electronic cigarette?

Electronic Cigarette - Q/A 3 Comments »

I’m trying to help my wife quit smoking and she mentioned that I research the electronic cigarette for her. Unfortunately, the internet is full of useless information on this things and I can’t seem to find any real reviews. Can anyone point me in the right direction or recommend what works?

Answer:

In my opinion the best to start with is a Joye 510 model, Thats what I started with, And here a year later as a veteran E cig user I still only use the 510, It’s just all around a work horse.Produces tons of vapor and a great throat hit. Have her take a look at it and see if she is interested -

http://www.ecigbestsave.com/Joye-510-starter-kits-s/28.htm

Auto is button less, Manual has a button.
The Manual models produce a slightly better throat hit and vapor.

E cigs are the only thing that kept me off cigs, They give the same satisfaction but better.
I mean, There is no guilt in using them, They don’t hurt you more than a cup of coffee does, With real cigs I felt the health effects but with e cogs I feel like I did before I started smoking. There are not a novelty, I know ill probably use them for the rest of my life. Probably one of the greatest creations ever.

Anyways, If she gets one, I strongly recommend she gets a few bottles of juice. They come in alot of flavors. fruit, desert flavors etc…. And ofcourse Tobacco or tobacco/menthol as well.
You just drip it on the atomizer and puff away. I have used cartomizers before but they don’t last nearly as long from my experience with them.

Here are my recommendations for E juice suppliers, And Ill write
a few flavors from each company to give an idea of what their like.

http://store.vapor4life.com/

Their Hilton and Kent are great choices for tobacco. Hilton being a sweeter tobacco.
I have never tried their Menthol tobacco, But have used their mint.
The mint is very cold. Gives you the feeling like after you eat a
strong mint. Good for a Menthol smoker.
Their Cafe Mocha is a top notch coffee flavor too.

http://www.litecigusa.net/

Their Wenston flavor is the most
authentic “Cigarette” flavor I have tried to date.
But all their tobacco flavors i’ve tried are amazing !

http://www.halocigs.com/

Their Menthols are the closest I have
found to a real Menthol cig. Its not minty. Just Menthol
with a bit of vanilla in the background. Reminds me of a Pall Mall Menthol

http://www.diyflavorshack.com/SearchResults.asp?Cat=4

This place has the most accurate flavors for fruits, deserts etc…
I have found to date. Like if you get Melon it will taste exactly like
melon. Their tobacco choices are good too. The Black N Mild is a
great rich tobacco flavor.

These 4 are my usual places I order from.

Anyways hope that helped out some.

BTW want to add, I am not an e cig spam bot.
There are alot of them on here trying to get people
to buy their products. I am just a straight up consumer and am sharing my opinion and background in vaping ! :-)

Which Electronic Cigarette is the best for me?

Electronic Cigarette - Q/A 5 Comments »

Hi, I’ve been looking to purchase an e-cigarette from some time now and I’m looking for suggestions. I would like to have one that is under 0, produces a fair amount of vapor, and looks like a real cigarette.

Answer:

There are really only a couple different models of electronic cigarettes out there and all the different brands you see are just those few types in different packaging. What I think is the best one is a Joye 510 (that’s not a brand name, that’s a manufacturer name and model number). Many vendors sell them (sometimes just referred to as the “510″).

Cignot.com has a cheap, no-frills 510 starter kit (only ), but there are other vendors with competitive pricing too. I buy my e-cig parts from Cignot, so I know they’re a very reliable vendor. They also sell a small selection of prefilled cartridges and liquid for refilling, but there are other vendors that sell better liquid (I buy my liquid from JohnsonCreek.com).

There’s a lot to learn when you first get started and lots of vendors. It can be overwhelming and confusing and you can end up spending a lot of money on crappy products if you don’t research a bit first. I recommend spending doing some reading at http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/ (I think it’s *the* best message board about e-cgis you’ll find – very informative and everyone is helpful).

Good luck!

Need Electronic Cigarette Review. Is it like the real thing?

Electronic Cigarette - Q/A 5 Comments »

When I initially heard about electronic cigarettes my reaction was that this was just a gimmick. What do you think?

Answer:

Hi Poyiga,

I have various ecigs, they all work (no gimmick) and I love them. If you are a tobacco smoker then I do recommend that you explore ecigs. I am so glad that I do not have to deal with those nasty and stinky cigarettes anymore.

There are now hundreds of websites that sell ecigs. It is very confusing. Take a look at this buying guide here:

http://www.ecigarettes365.com/buying_guide

It lists various brands, the key features, and provides ratings by actual users.

Good luck.

What is an electronic cigarette?

Electronic Cigarette - Q/A 1 Comment »

I’ve been hearing that electronic cigarettes are the best way to quit real smoking. Is this true?

Answer:

The best is always subjective. Just like every other alternative, it works wonders for some, and others have no luck at all.

If you want to try it.. do some research on it first. A lot of people give up on the ecig because they got it as an impulse buy, and ended up getting massively over priced crap that doesnt work well, or even just simply doesnt match their needs.

There are a lot of different models, different brands, different flavors.
google “ecig forum” and look for message boards. Read a LOT.

Green Puffer Electronic Cigarette help to smoke without fire?

Electronic Cigarette - Q/A 1 Comment »

As electronic cigarettes become more and more popular, they are increasingly used to smoke in pubs and clubs with a smoking ban. Electronic cigarettes seem to be the next thing and may soon replace real cigarettes in clubs.

Electronic Cigarette - Q/A 2 Comments »

I smoked 3 packs of cigarettes a day. I enjoyed smoking, but I couldn’t run very far or do the things I use to do. My grand kids begged me to quit. I bought one of the Electronic cigarettes 5 months ago and haven’t smoked a real cig since, doesn’t bother me to be around smokers. I asked my husband one day when we passed some people that were smiling did I smell that bad?????

Answer:

great info, really gives the concept, so now maybe I can create my own. Still trying to think outside the box, the other mass produced mods are pretty cool…maybe I can think something up…we’ll see…might be years

How do i get the LED light ‘ash’ cover off a GreenSmoke electronic cigarette?

Electronic Cigarette - Q/A 1 Comment »

I cant find on the site or in the book how to switch the LED ‘ash’ tip from the green one to the grey one. I want it to look a little more like a real cigarette. I cant get it to come off just using my fingers and was afraid to use pliers. Anyone know how to get it off safely?

Answer:

You might want to find a Greensmoke vendor and ask them. Maybe on their forum? or you could try e-cigarette-forum.com (ECF) There are lots of people there who use Greensmokes Someone there will know for sure. I know Drew at Nhaler.com sells them and he’s very active over at ECF.

Funny none of them have answered you. They usually troll around all the “e-cig” questions on YA.

Why would you want it to look like a real cig anyway? Most of us try to get e-cigs in other colors so they DON’T look like a real cig. Colors are awesome! Right now my favorite is a black battery with a pink LED or my green batteries with the green LED. But I don’t have a Greensmoke, I prefer the DSE901

Good Luck and Happy Vaping!

does the njoy electronic cigarette work ?

Electronic Cigarette - Q/A 1 Comment »

This post is more intriguing than many a non-spam post I’ve posted. Is the “electronic cigarette” for real and, if it is, exactly what does it do?

Answer:

I have owned the nJoy NPR for about a month now. I purchased the Super Mini (RN-4081) from Totally Wicked about 10 days ago. One black and one white. All parts are 100% interchangeable. One notable difference besides the labelling; the nJoy batteries are about 20% heavier and seem to hold a charge for 25-50% longer than the Super Mini batteries.
